Where True Community Begins 1 John 1 MESSAGE NOTES Community A group of people with something in common In the Bible, “fellowship” = having something in common. Christians have fellowship with God and with one another. Fellowship/community is a fact. Fellowship/community is an experience. Are you in fellowship with God? Do you commune with God? How conscious are you that you are in fellowship with other Christians? To what level do you engage in community with other Christians? * Minimal * Casual * Intentional DISCUSSION QUESTIONS What stood out to you about this message? Was there anything specific that impacted you personally? How is marriage an illustration of our union with God and our communion with God? What are some ways we can practice, or experience, our communion with God? The message included the fact that Christians are in fellowship with one another. Every Christian is united with every other Christian in the body of Christ. How does this fact affect your view of other Christians, both in our church and not in our church? Pastor Dean mentioned three levels of engaging in community with other Christians - minimal, casual, and intentional.  Give some examples of what each would look like.  How can we become more intentional in our community with other Christians?
