Helping the Homeless
Tuesday, February 9, 7:00–9:00 pm – Do you avoid eye contact with the homeless man standing at the corner? You’re hesitant to give cash, not knowing how it would be used, so what can you do? How can you be a Gospel witness?
Join us as we explore this topic together and prepare Blessing Bags to distribute to the homeless when we have opportunity.
Tuesday, March 8, 7:00–9:00 pm – Cancer is a common household word today. Practically everyone knows someone who has been diagnosed and is undergoing treatment. As well as being physically, mentally, and emotionally draining, cancer can raise many questions and doubts about God and His goodness.
Join us as Terry Pettit and Beth Horn, both diagnosed with life-threatening cancer, share from their experiences and lessons learned.
Tuesday, April 12, 7:00–9:00 pm – How can we live out the Gospel as caregivers for the elderly or disabled loved ones in our lives? How can we encourage and support those who are constant caregivers?
Valeri Miller – experienced caregiver of elderly parents, registered nurse, and author of Who Cares? God’s Path for the Caregiver – and Jennifer Frederick – also a registered nurse and daily caregiver of two precious disabled teenagers – will share with us both spiritual truths and practical tips to give hope and help when we are called upon to minister as caregivers and to encourage and support those serving in this role.
