August 14, 2023On Sunday, August 20, all Adult Sunday Classes were combined in the Auditorium to hear about the opportunities we have for discipleship and service this fall. If you missed it or would like more information about the serving and growing opportunities this fall, see the list below, along with who to contact for more information:
- #1: Ladies Ministry – various opportunities to help with events, showers, mentoring, Bible studies
- #1: NEW: Ladies Discipleship – Thursday evenings, starting Sept. 14 at 7:00 pm in the Atrium, ladies will gather to memorize Scripture, pray, and fellowship (April Conner)
- #2: Men’s Ministry – a variety of opportunities to help with events, join or lead an affinity group (Paul Valentine)
- #2: Men’s Cross Training – Fri. mornings in Simpsonville (Mike Hooks) & Thurs. mornings in Greenville (Dave Ivey)
- #3: Financial Peace – starting on Sunday evenings, September 10 (Joe & Sarah Barker). Sign up here.
- #3: Moving Beyond Lecture – another option for a Sunday evening discipleship class, focusing on how to lead a Bible study of any sort (Gil Thomas)
- #4: Community Groups – meet in homes during the week, studying 2 Timothy & Titus, restarting September 6 (Matt)
- #5: Re|engage – starting in September on Sunday evenings, 5:30 pm (Pastor Robert, Jeremy Wray)
- #5: Funeral – helping with meals for the family and other needs (Pastor Robert & Janet, Don Pennington)
- #6: NET Team – handing out info on our church in the neighborhoods (Pastor Guy & Cookie Altizer)
- #6: Wed. Prayer Meeting – meets at 6:30 pm (Pastor Guy)
- #7: Basketball Outreach – Tues. evenings (Brian Bolderson)
- #7: Widows Handyman Ministry – helping meet needs for the widows in our church (Steven Jensen)
- #8: Security – serve on Sundays (Stan Schultz)
- #8: Ushers – help folks find seats (Tim Smith)
- #9: Choir/Orchestra – restarting Sept. 3! (Matt Wells)
- #9: Tech Team – slides, livestream, cameras (Matt Wells, Eric Brennan, Dave Ivey)
- #10: Church Fellowships – set-up, clean-up, serve food (Kimberly Barker)
- #10: Hospitality Team – preparing coffee, greeters, resource center (Jerry Barron)
- #11: Kids – opportunities in Sunday Class, Children’s Church, Truth Trackers (Carissa Wells)
- #11: Nursery – opportunities to serve on Sunday mornings or evenings (Kelly Hammond, Sarah Lippincott, April Menking, Rachel Straka, Ebby Autry)
- #12: Preschool – prayer and subs (Michele Schultz)
- #12: Good News Club – outreach in local elementary school starting in September (JJ Waltho)
- #13: Foster Care Ministry – opportunities to provide wrap-around support to families who are fostering (Andrea Huerta & Rachel Melton)
- #13: Homebound – visiting those who cannot make it to church (Myrna Barba)
- #14: Elexio – updating your picture and contact information for our online directory (Robert Horn)
